A Bucket List Trip

Yosemite Valley with El Cap in ViewI had this incredible opportunity thanks to my colleague Jill Yaracs, Sesco Lighting and especially BK Lighting. This past year I was able to take a trip to Yosemite Valley courtesy of BK Lighting for two days training and business development. The trip featured one day at BK Lighting’s facilities and another touring the valley. Both parts were great. I highly recommend BK to those of you considering lighting your next project. Their products are truly the very best.

As for the tour of Yosemite, it can not be beat and is one of America’s true treasures. Be sure not to make the mistake I made in not bringing a wide angle lens.  I brought a zoom but ended up wishing I had a “fish eye” more than a zoom. Frankly if you get the chance to go you should take all your lenses just to be safe. And bring warm clothes even in summer as it can get cold. You need several days to see it all but there are some great tours that allow you to see the major points in one full day.
